The Challenge
The existing loft offered very little usable storage space. Insulation had been installed between the joists, meaning laying boards directly onto the timber would have compressed the insulation and reduced its performance.
Our solution was to install a raised loft boarding system that created a secure walking surface while maintaining ventilation and preserving the insulation depth. We also improved access to the loft, making the space safer and easier to use.
